Good evening sisters and brothers;
Just a quick note to check on you before I do evening prayer.
This afternoon I saved a little sparrow that had somehow gotten its wee little leg trapped in the groove of our car door. I do not know how long it had been there, but it was obviously in distress. Barrett helped me free the little darling, and I held it in my hand , stroking its little head, before setting it free.
I took this picture of a group of dandelions against the background of the setting sun. They seemed to have a light source of their own. God's creation is filled with beauty and wonder.
Before heading back inside, I noticed that there were fireflies in the wild meadow. They have arrived very early. There were not many, but soon the entire wild meadow will become a luminescent ocean of thousands upon thousands of fireflies floating in the warm breeze.
And as I walked along the path, I saw a fair number of toads out enjoying the beautiful evening.
The majesty of God's outdoor cathedral is difficult to put into words.
It is best to experience it on your own.
Let us pray.
Be present, O merciful God, and protect us
through the silent hours of this night, so that
we who are wearied by the changes and
chances of this fleeting world, may repose
upon thy eternal changelessness, through
Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen
Diosito me los colme de bendiciones
Paz
I love you
John
May you have a peaceful evening and a restful sleep.
Remember, there is one more sleep before Pentecost.
