Good evening sisters and brothers;

Just a quick note to check in and to remind everyone that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

As I stated in a previous message, for every donation made to Christ Church, Dunblane Farm will purchase a sapling to be planted in the wild meadow.

The donations will go to Pimatisiwin Nipi, which is the living water group within the PWRDF that is working to get water to northern Ontario First Nations Communities.

Not only will we be helping to make a life changing difference in the lives of those living in northern Ontario First Nations Communities, the saplings we plant will make a difference in the ecosystem of southwestern Ontario.

When thinking about trees, I am always drawn to the poetry of Robert Frost. Although it is a warm and summer-like, evening the poem that comes to mind is called:

Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening

Whose woods these are I think I know.

His house is in the village though;

He will not see me stopping here

To watch his woods fill up with snow.

My little horse must think it queer

To stop without a farmhouse near

Between the woods and frozen lake

The darkest evening of the year.

He gives his harness bells a shake

To ask if there is some mistake.

The only other sound's sweep

Of early wind and downy flake.

The woods are lovely, dark and deep,

But I have promises to keep,

And miles to go before I sleep,

And miles to go before I sleep.

Robert Frost.

When reading the poem this evening, I am delighted at the juxtaposition of the winter solstice in the deep woods and the upcoming summer solstice in the wild meadow.

Let us pray

Blessed are you, Lord God, creator of day

and night:

to you be praise and glory for ever.

As darkness falls you renew your promise

to reveal among us the light of your

presence.

By the light of Christ , your living Word,

dispel the darkness of our hearts

that we may walk as children of light

and sing your praise throughout the world.

Amen

Diosito me los colme de bendiciones

I love you

John

I will be doing evening prayer later on. If you have any special prayer requests please send them my way.

Gracias
