Rev. John would like you to open your Bible to Luke 21: 25-36. Read and reread the passage several times. What does it tell us about always being prepared as disciples of Christ?

The hymns for this First Sunday of Advent are as follows: If possible look them up on Google or Youtube and listen to them:

Opening Hymn: O Come, O Come, Emmanuel

Gradual Hymn: Come Thou Long Expected Jesus

Offertory Hymn: Here, Lord We Take the Broken Breand

Closing Hymn: On Jordan’s Bank, The Baptist’s Cry

Coffee Hour Hosts

Looking for Coffee Hour hosts for January, February and March. Please fill in your names on the Sign Up Sheet in the hall outside the office. If you are interested in helping to host Coffee Hour following the Service, we will pair you up with someone who is a host. Please consider this important ministry in the Church so we can gather for fellowship. Thank you to all our current coffee hour hosts for your Ministry. It is greatly appreciated.

 Something to Prayerfully  Consider

NeighbourLink Chatham-Kent is looking for volunteer drivers and friendly visitors/phone buddies.  The driving would be for medical appointments (mainly) and the friendly visits/phone buddy calls are for the large number of lonely people in our community.  Your help, especially during the long, colder winter days and nights is greatly needed.  If you have some time you would like to invest in others, please call the NeighbourLink office at 519-352-5647 or fill out a Volunteer application online at www.neighbourlinkck.com/get-involved.  Thank you and God Bless.  Alan Baker, Managing Director

With the days getting colder and nights longer – and with the homelessness problem only worsening, Christ Church would welcome sleeping bags to be handed out to the needy.

Thank you so much for your consideration.
